(A suggested pre-requisite for this class is Linda’s, “Understanding Fibromyalgia” Tele-class, a 90-minute foundational tele-class by phone and webinar presentation. This companion tele-class is optional and includes materials not included in the LIVE class. The Feb. 2012 teleclass will be repeated May 19 and July 22 and will be posted in Jan. for registrations.)
This type of live training with FM models has never been offered for reflexologists. Participants will:
- Learn techniques used in The Chollar Method of integrative reflexology
- Experience practicum application of reflexology on fibromyalgia clients & receiving from students
- Observe the art of the intake with FM clients
- Learn first hand from FM sufferers how you can help them
- Discover effective and quick pain relief techniques
- Learn simple gait analysis to help postural related pain
- Gain insight into creating a niche service for FM
Hands-on practice is the primary focus. Participants will learn communication skills as they observe the intake and treatment process with actual fibromyalgia clients. This learning experience is uniquely designed to expose students to feedback of real clients and observed results in a therapeutic setting.
The Chollar Method is an integrative healing approach which includes dialogue with clients during sessions, monitoring pain levels and educating FM clients about posture and the role of the feet in overall health.
Practitioners will take-away valuable tools from this class that will change their practice & career in many ways. Linda Chollar combines her expertise as a reflexologist, holistic health entrepreneur and business success coach to create a powerful teaching experience. She brings together practitioner and client in a masterful way to give”on-the-job” training.
Basic strategies to create a thriving reflexology business include: empowering clients, providing results & solutions, rebooking with wellness packages and using an effective system for followup to retain clients.
Class workbook includes:
- Most commonly presented FM symptoms
- Current research & why the fibromyalgia war?
- The labeling of FM - Has it created an illness?
- Why each treatment plan will vary with FM clients
- The reflexology protocol used in the Chollar 2008 study
- Personalized intake templates for use with FM clients
